Fourteen Hills Presents: Gird Your 'Loin

Mon, 02/18/2013 - 21:22

We’re bringing it to the Tenderloin, folks. On Saturday, March 2 at 2 PM, Fourteen Hills will sponsor a combined, multi-university reading, Gird Your ‘Loin, at the fabulous Celtic Coffee (142 McAllister St., San Francisco). We’ve asked some of the top writers from the MFA/MA programs at California College of the Arts, University of San Francisco, Mills, and our very own San Francisco State University, and we’re thrilled they said “yes.” Here’s the line-up:

University of San Francisco: Stephen Novotny and Douglas Henderson

Mills: Marcus Lund and Jennifer Franklin

California College of the Arts: Vernon Keeve III and Chloe Veylit

San Francisco State University: Nate Waggoner and Mariama Lockingtonceltic coffee inside.jpg

But that's not all. Check in with us next week for a feature blog on each reader.

Afterwards, we’ll be taking it to the streets for a good old fashioned pub crawl (21+). Sure, why not imagine you’re James Joyce walking the streets of Dublin?

This is truly going to be a momentous Fourteen Hills-sponsored afternoon of literary debauchery, courtesy of select writers from the Bay Area’s top MFA/MA programs. Come on out and Gird Your ‘Loin, Saturday March 2, 2 PM at the incredible Tenderloin café, Celtic Coffee. And, as always, it’s free.
