Fourteen Hills Release Party Raffle Extravaganza

This year, Fourteen Hills marks its 40th issue release at 7 p.m. on December 11th at The Glass Door Gallery in North Beach, San Francisco. That’s right, Fourteen Hills is turning twenty, friends! To accompany the celebration will be Fourteen Hills’ customary and notorious raffle showcasing a variety of unique prizes from artists and businesses from across the Bay Area. Best of all, one hundred percent of the proceeds goes right back into producing future issues of our acclaimed literary journal. Everyone wins.

To whet your appetite, here’s just a sampling of some of our prizes: gift certificates from Books, Inc., Apple, and Glamorama Salon, and for reiki, yoga, and, yes, couples therapy. Plus, a well-known world music collective generously donated a sampler pack of its albums in cd and vinyl, along with an mp3 player and portable speaker that packs a punch of bass to blast it all out on.

There will also be available one-of-a-kind gift baskets lovingly assembled by Fourteen Hills staff members, such as the Hipster Starter Pack (including PBR cans, kale chips, and an ironic t-shirt), and a Best Worst Movie Ever Pack (including The Room DVD).

Raffle tickets will sell for $2 each or three for $5, so bring plenty of cash or checks. And, of course, don’t forget to come prepared to buy copies of Fourteen Hills Issue 20.1, whose cover was done by none other than Marilyn Minter. There will also be complementary baked goods for those who might have missed dinner (or not), and a keg of Lagunitas and assorted wines.

Come celebrate with us the 40th issue of one of the Bay Area’s and nation’s most prominent literary journals. It is also a celebration of you, our fans, readers and faithful followers. Thank you. It is because of your support that Fourteen Hills continues to be able to publish groundbreaking and award-winning writers and artists. The party begins at 7 p.m. on December 11 at The Glass Door Gallery in San Francisco. We can’t wait to see you!
